On the occasion of the Bleichwiesenfest in Obervellmar, our LG Vellmar organised a breakfast run. I was ready for the group, which ran 9 kilometres. Despite the very summery temperatures, two additional runners joined our group. It was fun to run with other runners in the group again. Both of them kept going and seemed to have a lot of fun.

It was already very warm early on Saturday morning. Nevertheless, we completed the 9-kilometre lap at the planned pace of 6:40. Another good start to Saturday!

The best summer weather is not always my friend. The temperatures on Saturday morning at the start with the 9-kilometre group were still bearable, but towards the end it was so warm that I was glad to have completed the hour. Heat is not my favourite temperature for running. Nevertheless, it was another good start to Saturday.

No 9-kilometre group came together today. So I joined the 8-kilometre group, which later turned out to be a good decision. It was already so warm at 9.30am that we ended up walking a few metres. Although it was particularly strenuous today because of the heat, it was another perfect start to Saturday.

Running on a Saturday morning is always a bit of a challenge. So there were only three of us in the 9-kilometre group today. A short run in the morning is the best way to start Saturday. In perfect running weather, we chose a slightly easier route and were faster than usual.

For many years, ‘Global Running Day’ has been celebrated on the first Wednesday in June in numerous countries. Naturally, our LG Vellmar also took part. With a large crowd at the meeting point, eight of us finally set off on the 9-kilometre route. After heavy rain in the afternoon, the sun came out again and it got really warm. We therefore slowed down the pace a little. Fortunately, there were some refreshing drinks after the run.
